It's customers include hotels, eateries, fast food, pop-shop resellers, and individual bulk buyers. We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Machine Operator

Location: Nempi, Oru West LGA - Imo
Employment Type: Full-time
Slot: 4 Openings
Reporting to: Production Supervisor
Employer Industry: Production and Manufacturing
Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday (8:00 am to 4:00 pm)

Job Purpose

  • The Machine Operator will be responsible for producing the sachet and bottled water by safety and quality standards.
  • The person will man all the necessary equipment and machinery needed to produce the water and make sure they operate at optimal capacity without frequent breakdowns.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Produce sachet water using sachet water production machines
  • Test and adjust equipment at the beginning of every shift to ensure proper pressure, speed, temperature, and general operation to avoid leakage and breakdowns
  • Communicate with fellow team members to learn of any equipment problems or malfunctions, and take care of them as they come up.
  • Clean and maintain the equipment regularly (at least every month) using regulated cleaning solutions that are recommended.
  • Make repairs to equipment when necessary, and replace all defective, broken, or worn-out components.
  • Choose and install cutters, molds, and all other necessary equipment parts so machines are always operating at peak efficiency.
  • Liaise with the production manager to replenish materials and consumables needed for production
  • Create timely usage reports and submit them to the production manager
  • Manage baggers to ensure they bag water with speed and attention as the machine produces

Job Expectations:
We expect that for this role, there should be :

  • Minimal leakage during and after production
  • Quality standards maintained and sustained for a long period

Qualifications Required

  • Minimum of OND in an Engineering discipline or its equivalent
  • 3-5 years of proven experience as a machine operator in a production/manufacturing workspace (Sachet water company preferred)
  • Relevant safety certifications such as OSHA will be an added advantage.

Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of current OSHA safety rules and regulations
  • Sound operational and engineering knowledge in operating the Dingli sachet water machine, water treatment tanks, micro filters, testing meters, Uv sterilizer, Air Uv, Gravure nylon printing machine, etc
  • Additional knowledge of how to operate the Jar/dispenser, bottling, and bottle-blowing machines is a big added advantage.
  • Grounded with the operation and Standard operating procedures(SOP) of Reverse Osmosis (RO) and sachet machines
  • Proper knowledge of basic mechanical repairs.

Competences Required:

  • Well organized and history of showing initiative
  • Ability to read measurements excellently
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Excellent attention to details
  • Team player and great leadership skills.

Working Condition:

  • The essential duties of this role are primarily performed in an office factory environment with potential exposure to loud noise, heavy use of equipment hazardous chemicals, and require the ability to stand and operate machinery for long hours.
