Job Title: Production Manager (Vegefresh)

Location: Lagos
Division/Department: Group

Job Purpose
  • To ensure the efficient utilisation of machinery, manpower & materials in line with established production goals, objectives and targets.
Reporting Relationships:
Reports to - COO of Vegefresh

Key Responsibilities
  • Draws up and implements a production schedule to maximize efficiency of operations and reduce cost.
  • Plans and schedules production activities and supervises the production process.
  • Implements manufacturing strategies and action plans.
  • Selects and maintains equipment s, supervises product standards and enforces quality programs.
  • Supervises production workers and reviews the work performance of subordinates.
  • Coordinates and implement standard operating procedure for all production
  • operations.
  • Ensures safety standards are being maintained and that workers are abiding by workplace safety rules.
  • Supervises quality standards and enforcing quality control programs
  • Develops long term and short term plans for increasing production capacity and decreasing costs.
  • Consults with Procurement department to ensure availability of raw materials for production.
  • Identifies training needs and liaises with Human Resource Department to provide relevant trainings to improve staff performance.
  • Prepares and maintains all production records.
  • Oversees the operation and maintenance of assets (plant and equipment, facilities, materials and spares) to optimize their contribution.

Person Specification
  • First degree or HND in Chemical/Production Engineering.
  • Membership of Nigerian Society of Engineers is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 8 years cognate experience a high production-related environment.
  • Experience in the Tomato Paste industry is critical.
