Job Title: Embedded Security Manager

Description

  • We are looking for a dynamic, experienced individual to be part of our embedded consultant team based at a client location in Lagos, Nigeria. The successful candidate will be strong communicator, with a solid background in managing physical security program in a busy industrial setting.
  • You will work within our clients Lagos location, with oversight of all of the managed physical security processes across multiple sites. The role will report to the senior leadership of the client organisation.
  • The role will require the successful candidate to take responsibility for the security, of the people. premises and operations of the client.

The core deliverables you will be responsible for are:

  • Day to day management of the physical security of sites operated by the client. .
  • Management of outsourced security suppliers including guards.
  • Highlight vulnerabilities where they exist and work to mitigate these
  • Prepare monthly security reports and digests, focusing on both internal and external security developments.
  • Ensuring information relating to security developments are shared in a structured way with the required contacts points within the client organisation.
  • Developing emergency response plans for hibernation, evacuation and relocation.
  • Conduct security vulnerability assessments on residences and other client locations
  • Secure journey management for staff
  • Implement security management solutions, route assessments and review the existing journey management plans.

Requirements

  • Strong ability in producing documentation and plans to a high standard
  • Experience in a security management / advisory role for a large multi-site operation in Nigeria, with a minimum of five years experience.
  • Experience in developing project security plans, risk registers and emergency response plans.
  • A demonstrated ability to develop recommendations relating to physical security design.
  • Experience of conducting vulnerability assessments of sites.
  • A record of producing risk and threat assessments for locations in Nigeria
  • An ability to work closely with clients to understand the implications of issues identified in the course of planning / delivery and provide constructive input towards their identification of solutions.
  • The right candidate will be a proactive team player, able to maintain a positive attitude under pressure and collegiate relationships with clients and contractors.
