Global Profilers is a Recruitment & HR Services firm specialized in recruitment in Africa; we are currently looking for a Commissioning & Operations Manager for our client who is into Oil and Gas/Energy Sector:

Job Title: Commissioning & Operations Manager

Responsibilities
  • Executes project commissioning activities including FEED, detailed engineering, training pre commissioning commissioning, start up and performance testing
  • Implementation of management execution plan for per-commissioning , commissioning start up and performance testing of methanol plant. Assist of development of start up sequence and the schedule to be utilized as a basis for project execution planning
  • Executes and monitors verification and testing process requirements for the system completions
  • Supports engineering developments of operational risk
  • Well verse with project systematization
  • Well verse will start up of methanol or ammonia plant
  • Develop start up procedure for safe running of methanol plant
  • Experience in HAZOP, QRA HAZID &HSEIA
  • Advise the Project manager ahead of issues becoming critical and provide recommendations to improve these issues
  • Provide appropriate guidance as necessary with regard to local legislation, codes and standard and technical requirements.
  • Participate in P&ID & 3D model review
  • Participate in Pre Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs)
  • Provide inputs on training plant and philosophy documents
  • Lead a team of commissioning resources in development of systems /precom/commissioning procedures, OEM manuals standard operating procedures etc
  • Supports engineering team in development of procedures for safe operating the plants.
Qualification and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical or equivalent Engineering
  • Experience in Methanol or Ammonia plants preferred
  • 15+ Years related experience in Process plant equipment specification, selection and commissioning & operations of Oil, Gas and Petrochemical plants
  • Ability to work independently, setting policy, and establishing work methods.
  • Proven ability to manage results through others.
  • Strong coaching skills, leadership abilities, and decision making abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proven conflict resolution skills.
