Job Description

  • The Quality Focal Person will Support the identification, assessment and selection of facilities and providers for the provision of services to adolescent girls 15 – 19 years
  • Provide supportive supervisory visits and on the job coaching to providers in all a360 facilities providing sexual and reproductive health services for adolescent girls 15 -19 years, 
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained in all A360 facilities( and supporting Government led facilities) providing sexual and reproductive health services for adolescent girls 15 -19 years using innovative approaches for designing programs for improving the sexual and reproductive health of adolescent girls(15 – 19 years) and ensures 70% contraceptive continuation is achieved

Job Role
The successful candidate will perform the following functions:

  • Lead the set up and implementation of all Adolescents 360 service delivery areas.
  • In collaboration with other Adolescents 360 team members, identify health facilities in the state willing to provide safe space for adolescents’ sexual reproductive health services.
  • Recruit facilities that meet set criteria by administering facility assessment checklists.
  • Ensure that the MMA Facilities identified as part of the network maintain recommended standards and abide by the contractual agreement at all time.
  • disorders to effect improved adjustments utilizing various psychological techniques; selects appropriate treatment approach and plans frequency, intensity, and duration of individual, group, and family therapies.
  • Ensures that contraceptive continuation is achieved through conduct of proper follow up calls/use of the 3Ws and documentation monthly.
  • Ensures proper referral for integrated services for all girls concerned. (GBV, HIV/C/T, PAC services
  • Ensure Provider Behavior Change Communication (PBCC) (which provides solutions to provider needs to motivate/persuade/ convince providers to adopt the desired behavior usually done on a one-on-one interaction during Supportive supervision with provider.
  • Conduct supervisory support visits (SSVs) based on needs as per the HNQIS/State schedule (in government led sites) monitoring plan and on the job coaching to MMA facility providers in the state to ensure quality standards are maintained.
  • Maintain a data base of all family planning methods and STI cases from 9ja Girls/MMA Network facilities in his/her state (analyzing use against supply to assist forecast for the preceding quarter, monthly.
  • Maintain a record of SSV findings from MMA Network facilities in his/her state.
  • Monthly analysis and action plans for State QoC from the HNQIS dashboard
  • Harmonize and submit monthly reports of Adolescents 360 service delivery activities, in the state, including MIS from the facilities on or before the 5th of each month using approved formats to the State Program Manager and Service Delivery specialist.
  • Develop quarterly work plan of Service delivery and Quality Assurance activities and submit to State Program Manager and work with monthly activity plans.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Must be a Certified Nurse Midwife or possess a Nursing Degree (B.Sc. Nursing, with current registration with appropriate national regulatory bodies.  
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must possess a minimum of five (5) years post-NYSC working experience in international health and family planning program.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral and written), presentation skills
  • Must have a continuous drive for learning and knowledge sharing.
  • Must be excellent at report writing and possess strong M&E skills.
  • Candidates should be experienced in donor-funded projects and advocacy skills.
