We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Regional IT Support Officer - Eastern Region

Locations: Onitsha - Anambra, Aba - Abia & Port Harcourt - Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time
Supervisor: Reports to IT Operations & Infrastructure Manager
Head Of Department: Country IT Manager

General Functions

  • Ensures hardware is appropriately configured, used, managed and train users on their tools
  • Provide end User support for IT Infrastructure/Services and resolve anomalies within 48 hours with walk around for business continuity. No ticket should remain unattended to within 4 business hours.
  • Update inventories relating to the computer network and system and ensure integrity, confidential and availability of Company resources within the assigned Region.
  • Keep all Windows devices updated, managed and reported. (No windows updates older than 10 days, No antivirus updates older than 3 days, 100% of PCs under management and valid licenses). Ensure mobile devices are reported on MDM.
  • Ensure all systems (e.g. Inverter, PCs, Network, CCTV Cameras e.t.c) across the branches are functional and properly maintained. Records of the devices must be kept and changes updated periodically.
  • Perform routine checks on all network devices under jurisdiction and report anomalies
  • within 24hours to management while following up on resolution.
  • Support other Systems & Applications of the Bank as necessary. Relate all exceptions with the Application/System Administrators.
  • Any other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Line supervisor/IT Manager.
  • Train and supervise associates within the Region and share knowledge within the team as frequent as possible.
  • Follow up on all team members, ensure Biometrics Machines are functional in all Baobab NG branches.
  • In collaboration with the IT Operations & Infrastructure Manager, ensure the Firewalls are properly configured and functional.

Education / Experience

  • University Degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Computer Electronics or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ prior experience in the similar role. Such as system/network administration/support, maintenance, Intrusion detection, Security Appliance Management or equivalent.
  • CCNA/CWNA/A+ & Security + Certification or Training.

Reports:

  • Send maintenance report to the Business and IT management latest 48 hours after the exercise is performed.
