Job Title: Fund Raiser
Location: Lagos
Fundraising Strategy and Research
- Working with Executive Director to plan and implement an effective fundraising strategy.
- Identify funding opportunities and prospects by conducting in-depth research as required to identify for example Heads of CSR and Marketing Departments, the size of their respective budgets and their giving strategy / focus.
- Conduct market insights into the corporate, foundation and public sector donors in Nigeria
- Secure meetings with potential donors.
- Raise funds for the organization.
Fundraising Delivery Including Communications
- Develop high quality proposals and applications for funding making ensuring timely submission of applications.
- Plan and organize Endowment fund with existing and potential donors, partners and individuals.
- Develop relationships with old and new donors, deliver fundraising pitches as designated by Executive Director.
- Responsible for income generation for all projects
Contract and Account Management
- Drafts contracts for all partnerships ensuring they capture all elements of the partnerships and outline clearly all partner responsibilities and benefits.
- Monitoring of contract database to ensure up to date records at all times.
- Responsible for account management and benefits delivery to donors and partners.
- Monitor proper invoicing and payment schedule from partners and donors.
Key Relationships
- To form key relationship with Corporate institutions, Government, Foundations and Individuals.

- Excellent presentation skills and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
Skills and Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Microsoft office.
Fundraising Skills:
- Knowledge of sponsorship and partnership funding landscape in Nigeria.
- Knowledge of trends and best practice in sponsorship and partnership fundraising.
Communication skills:
- Writes clearly and persuasively taking into account audiences’ requirements.
- An ability to present credibly (both in writing and orally to internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and research skills.
Experience:
- Experience of research and identifying funding opportunities.
- Experience of working with corporate sponsors.
- Experience of working with donor agencies.
