MSH is currently preparing for an upcoming USAID- funded health system strengthening, maternal, new born and child health and family planning/reproductive health projects in Northern Nigeria.

Director of M&E

Job Description
  • The Director of Monitoring and Evaluation oversees the design and daily management of the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) activities of the project including: maintaining a comprehensive plan for M&E implementation; planning and implementing project data collection, management, and analysis; planning and implementing M&E-related capacity-building activities for the project's partners in order to improve statewide M&E-related practices; and overseeing and managing an M&E team to ensure the project's data, reporting, and capacity-building needs are met.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Public Health, Development, Statistics or related field and at least 8 years work experience in international public health programs.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a senior M&E manager in an international or donor organization providing leadership and technical direction to M&E activities.
Organizational Development Director

Job Description
  • The Organizational Development Director participates in state level capacity building and systems strengthening initiatives intended to contribute to the sustainability of the program.
  • The Director supervises the OD Unit as well as short- and long-term technical assistance.
  • These operations and processes may include human resource management (including human capacity development and leadership development); financial and other management systems; strategic planning and resource allocation; monitoring and evaluation; and service delivery.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in related field and minimum of 5 years of senior level experience senior-level experience providing organizational development and institutional capacity building in several of the following areas: human resource management (including human capacity development and leadership development); financial and other management systems; strategic planning and resource allocation; monitoring and evaluation; and service delivery.
Senior Maternal/Child Health Advisor

Job Description
  • Manage the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Project's technical assistance activities to strengthen Nigeria's MCH and service delivery system with a focus on strengthening systems and improving outcomes at the State levels.
  • Take the lead in designing programs that strengthen and promote high impact maternal and child health interventions at primary health care facilities.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in related field and minimum of 8 years senior- level experience designing, implementing, and managing larger complex, maternal/child health programs or projects in Africa, preferably Northern Nigeria.
Senior Maternal Child Health Advisor

Job Description
  • Assess and develop as needed health system strengthening plans in coordination with state and relevant local representatives to assure agreement and ownership of planned activities.
  • Manage the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Project's technical assistance activities to strengthen Nigeria's RH/ FP/MCH service delivery system with a focus on improving outcomes at the State level.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in public health, social sciences, or related degree relevant to the broad areas of health systems strengthening.
  • Minimum of 8 years senior-level experience in health systems strengthening, quality management, or quality assurance programming in Africa, preferably in Northern Nigeria.
