We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: QHSE Lead

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Experience Level: Experienced Professionals

Position Summary

  • The QHSE Lead is responsible for developing, maintaining and implementing TPG Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) Management System.
  • He/She will be fully responsible for implementing safe systems of work and safe behavioral practices at all levels of the organization. This position provides QHSE guidance to the organization and supports the operation process in order to maintain and continually improve the organization's Quality and Safety culture in line with business objectives.
  • He/She will also be responsible for all NCDMB related activities and ensure compliance to the Nigerian Content Act.

Minimum Requirements
Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of HND or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in managing and implementing Quality Management Systems;
  • Knowledge of the power, gas and offshore industry;
  • Knowledge of rotating equipment and previous dealings with the NCDMB will be added advantage.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Should be familiar with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standard OHSAS 18001 Health and Safety Management.
  • ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management

Professional Memberships:

  • Quality Assurance qualification from an accredited body.
  • NEBOSH or similar qualification.

Technical Skills & Competence Requirements:

  • Proven QHSE professional from a highly regulated industry such as Industrial Automation, Process, Oil & Gas, Power Generation or suppliers to these industries.
  • Strong leadership skills to constantly drive safety and quality improvements.
  • A “hands-on” implementer of processes and change
  • Be computer literate with Microsoft Office to a proficient level with good typing skills.

  • Communicate accurately, correctly, timely, effectively and in an appropriate manner using email, documentation and verbally.
  • Take initiative and always act in a professional and ethical manner.
  • Represent TPG in a courteous, helpful and business-like behavior.
  • Maintain an uncompromised level of confidentiality and integrity related to all TPG information and operation in general.
  • Adhere to and encourage adherence to all corporate policies and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict handling skills.
  • Lead by example, be friendly and helpful.
