George Houston Resources Limited - Our client, a reputable Engineering Construction and Oil & Gas Servicing company Located in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, is recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Rig Mechanic
Location : Port Harcourt, Rivers
Report To: Rig Supervisor
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Duties
- Ensures that all the operating machines are functional and in good working condition.
- Troubleshoot and rectify any malfunction of the HWU.
- Keep records of the periodic running of all static equipment.
- Work with the field engineer to ensures the availability of critical spare parts.
- Check day to day running of all static equipment.
- Responsible of issuance of diesel in the location.
- Carry out day to day check and gauge the level of hydraulic in the various reservoir tanks.
- Leads in the stripping of the BOPs when malfunctioning.
- Connects the hydraulic hoses during rig up.
- Ensures hourly, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly checks on all the equipment are duly carried out.
Qualification
- Degree in Engineering
- Minimum Experience: 5-7 years’ experience on the job.
- Knowledge on Well Service machines and equipment
- 5 years’ experience in field of application
- IWCF Level 2 & HSE.
