Job Description

• WeRecruitWW is in search of an experienced, empathic and well-qualified Guardian Counsellor to work as part of their pastoral team.
• You will provide excellent counselling support, engaging students by using a variety of proven counselling and therapeutic techniques tailored to their unique and individual needs.
• The successful candidate will also play a key role alongside the wider staff team in providing holistic support for our students as well as their families and carers.
• Additional to counselling students, you will also participate and help supervise and engage students during social times to model positive relationships and help maintain our calm and nurturing environment.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate must have:

• Qualified, with a Degree in Social Work or similar qualification.
• Possess a Postgraduate Diploma or Master's qualification in Counselling or Psychotherapy with a specialist qualification in child and adolescent work.
• At least 5 years work experience.
• Accreditation, or registration of professional registering body in this field.
• Aspiration to work in a world class school with real prospects for enhancing their career.
• Excellent IT and interpersonal communication skills to work closely with students and parents.
• A creative and enthusiastic approach.
• Experience in working in a school setting.
• Experience of safeguarding in a school setting is essential and ability to maintain confidentiality within the school's safeguarding policy.
