Job Title: Finance Executive

Location: Yola, Adamawa
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Engagement with Development Finance Institutions and the Capital Market with a view of raising long term, low cost funds for the development needs of Adamawa State.

Duties

• Producing and managing necessary documentations in conjunction with the state Ministry of Finance & Budgets for the accessing of Credit Facilities.
• Maintaining a secretariat for interfacing between the state and Financial Institutions (DFIs and the Capital Market)
• Collecting, interpreting, and reviewing financial information of the state.
• Predicting future financial trends.
• Reporting to management and stakeholders, and providing advice how the State and future budget decisions might be impacted
• Producing financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses etc.
• Developing long-term business plans based on these reports.
• Reviewing, monitoring, and managing budgets.
• Developing strategies that work to minimise financial risk.
• Analysing financial market trends.

Requirements and Skills

• Degree in Accountancy or Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business Studies, Management.
• Postgraduate Degrees in financial management would also be beneficial for candidates looking to advance their career.
• Professional Qualification in Accountancy / Banking / Finance.
• 5 - 7 years work experience.
• An analytical mind.
• Negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships.
• Commercial and business awareness.
• Good communication skills - both written and verbal.
• A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data.
• Ability to stick to time constraints.
