Director / Chief Executive Officer at the Nigerian Stored Produce Research Institute

The Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN) is a public entity placed under the Federal Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Development. It is responsible for the coordination of agricultural research activities in Nigeria.

The Nigerian Stored Produce Research Institute, llorin a Parastatal under the aegis of the Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN). The Institute has national mandate for research into storage and processing of all agricultural produce as well as studies into pests stored products in Nigeria.

The Nigerian Stored Produce Research Institute is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Director / Chief Executive Officer

Location: Ilorin, Kwara

Duties

• The Director / Chief Executive Officer is the Research and Administrative Head incharge of the day to day running of the Institute.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be a holder of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in a relevant discipline, with extensive research experience as evidenced by scientific publications in referred journal.
• In addition, candidates must have ability to provide academic/administrative leadership, attract funding as well as an articulated vision for the development of the Institute.
• Furthermore, he/she must not be more than 60 years of age at the time of commencement of the tenure.
• A minimum of Assistant Director or Associate Professor at NARIS would be required please.

Terms of Appointment

• A single term of five (5) years only.
