Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Department: Business Development/Marketing
Reports To: General Manager
Directly Supervises: Business Development/Marketing Team
Contact arising from the Job: Business Institutions, Statutory/Regulatory bodies, LEAD ESC Clients, Vendors.

Main Objective of the Job

  • With a high network of connections, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for bringing businesses, identifying sales leads, pitching our Human Resources services to new clients and maintaining a good working relationship with old and new contacts.
  • The Business Development Manager will direct, administer, and coordinate business development and marketing activities in accordance with policies, goals, and objectives established by the organization.

Principal Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Identifying sales leads, pitching our Human Resources services to old and new clients.
  • Following up new business opportunities in HR and setting up meetings.
  • Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
  • Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.
  • Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
  • Finding and developing new markets and improving sales.
  • Developing quotes and proposals for clients.
  • Developing goals for the development team and business growth and ensuring they are met.
  • Following up new business opportunities in HR and setting up meetings
  • Planning and preparing and making presentations to Clients
  • Maintain a good working relationship with old and new contacts.
  • Providing management with feedback.

Qualifications and Experience
Education:

  • HND / B.Sc / M.Sc in a Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or relevant field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years experience working as a Business Development Manager for a top Human Resources consulting firm.
  • Candidate must demonstrate self-confidence, love networking and enjoy presenting and public speaking.

Skills Required:

  • Good business sense.
  • A deep understanding of marketing principles.
  • Good communication skills.
  • A positive attitude.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Plenty of initiative.

Languages:

  • Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to adapt to a variety of stakeholders are required.

Salary
N250,000 monthly (gross) plus commission on businesses.
