Bibo Hatchery produces and delivers healthycatfish fingerlings and also juveniles to fish farmers in Lagos and other states in the country. It is a sole proprietorship business located in Lagos, Nigeria,and has been operational since March 2018. Bibo Hatchery recognizes the stress farmers go through in finding a reliable source of good quality fingerlings that will guarantee them a quick harvest and return on investment.

As a way of easing the workload of our potential customers, we ensure that all our customers receive a properly sorted batch of fish with an extra 7% to cover for losses that may occur during the transit and rearing period. We also provide free and convenient delivery services to our customers in Lagos who purchase above 5000 fingerlings per order. ​We do practical training for fish farmers and hatchery operatorsthat take place periodically throughout the year. Job Title: Fish Hatchery Technician

Location: Magodo, Lagos

Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fish Hatchery Technician to join our team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily care and maintenance of our fish hatchery, including feeding, monitoring, and maintaining the health of the fish.

Key Responsibilities

• Feed and care for fish on a daily basis, including monitoring growth and health.
• Maintain clean and safe living conditions for the fish.
• Monitor and maintain water quality, including pH and temperature levels.
• Assist with the breeding and reproduction of fish.
• Perform regular maintenance and repairs on hatchery equipment.
• Record and document daily hatchery activities.
• Follow all hatchery safety protocols and guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year work experience.
• Experience working in a fish hatchery or related field is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Remuneration

• Salary: N40,000 - N70,000 monthly
