Job Title: Cashier

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Job Overview

• We are looking for a Cashier for our store in the Retail Industry. The cashier will scan the customer’s selections, ensure that prices and quantities are accurate, accept payments, issue receipts, answer inquiries, and provide helpful information about customers' products, promotions, or item locations.

Job Description

• Manage payment transactions with customers using cash registers
• Scan product items and ensure pricing is accurate
• Receive and confirm payments or cash transaction
• Issue payment receipts for transactions made
• Process refunds when necessary for customer
• Redeem stamps and coupons
• Cross-sell products and introduce new ones
• Resolve complaints, and provide customers with relevant information
• Greet customers when entering or leaving the store
• Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
• Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies
• Bag, box, or gift-wrap packages
• Ensure product items not scanned to be sold are properly shelved back.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of Diploma or OND degree in any related field.
• Work experience as a Retail Cashier or in a similar role in sales
• Basic knowledge of computer use
• Familiarity with electronic equipment, like cash registers and POS
• Basic math skills
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Customer satisfaction-oriented.

Salary
N50,000 / month.
