We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Exploration Geologist
Locations: Ukwu-Nzu, Obomkpa, Ugboba and Ugbodu - Delta (Idowu Falola Coal Mines)
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct geological and geophysical studies to provide information for use in site selection and the development of projects.
- Perform geological, structural and regolith mapping
- Perform detailed geological review to determine prospective targets
- Oversee soil sampling, trenching, and various forms of exploratory drilling
- Monitor and control varied samples, ensure adequate insertion of QAQC samples, and perform geological interpretation
- Collect, compile, analyze exploration data, and recommend appropriate follow up programs.
Requirements
- Degree in Geology or Geoscience
- Experience with various geological techniques like mining, boring and numerical modeling.
