Job Title: Finance Planning and Project Controls Manager

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: CEO

Job Description

  • Responsible for analyzing and track current and forecasted capital expenditures
  • Lead capital budgeting and management, inventory, sales/ mix analysis, new products business case development
  • Responsible for creating & maintaining planning tools, summaries & associated analysis, including global consolidation for Product Divisions and Regions, members of the Senior Leadership Team
  • Develop and implement strategy for project controls department in line with the corporate business strategy, objectives and priorities
  • Establish Project Controls department’s plans and provide input to goals that support its overall strategic plans.
  • Monitor progress (value of work done) against deliverables, raise invoices when due
  • Follow up payments with clients and maintain receivables at pre-agreed level
  • Monitor project and company costs in accordance with applicable procurement, payables and other applicable policies
  • Develop project and company financial plans and forecasts (revenue, cashflow, profitability) to guide business decisions
  • Monitor and report project and company financial performance at daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual intervals.

Skills and Requirements

  • University Degree in Engineering or Financial discipline or equivalent experience
  • Advanced Degree in Finance or Accounting or related field, minimum of 12 years’ experience in finance role in a construction or infrastructure company
  • Project Management Institute (PMP) certification
  • Experience in change controls and claims management
  • Ability to develop and implement operations, policies, and procedures
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Superior planning and analytical skills
  • Treasury functional experience is an advantage
  • Must have project controls experience associated with major EPCM/EPC projects. Experience should be associated with both Home office and Field Site cost control, scheduling and cost estimating required to meet client’s team requirements
  • Brown field project experience is a plus
  • Prefer experience associated with drilling, pipeline construction or oilfield construction
  • Relevant professional qualifications, including safety qualification, is mandatory.
