Job Title: ESG Compliance and Legal Manager

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Role Description

• The Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and Internal Control Manager will be responsible for developing and overseeing environmental, social and corporate governance policies as well as internal operational processes.
• Handle legal tasks arise and support the internal units.

Roles and Responsibilities
ESG:

• Coordinate ESG initiatives and compliance with law and regulatory requirements.
• Develop, implement, and monitor company ESMS (Environmental and Social Management System), which will be implemented in all business areas, across all operational levels.
• Support Management in driving the education, communication, training, and implementation of the ESMS across the company in all operational areas, including its associated business activities, sub-contractors and supply chains, where relevant.
• Work with various business units to identify E&S related risks and develop appropriate strategies to address the risks and their potential impacts.
• Develop, implement and monitor health and safety procedures and emergency response plan.
• Maintain and update an accidents/incidents register.
• Report to stakeholders on any accidents/incidents.
• Overall management of ESG implementation and compliance.

Skills and Experience

• Bachelor of Laws.
• 5 years of experience in legal and ESG.
• Ethics and Integrity.
• Great communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of the telecommunications industry will be an added advantage.
