OppApp is a new early-stage Educational technology (EdTech) and Service Provider startup based on an ambitious & exciting, yet realistic product vision. Africa is the world's youngest continent and expanding the fastest. The number of young people working in Africa will rise to 375 million by 2030. The International Monetary Fund estimates that by 2035, there will be more young Africans joining the workforce each year than there are in the rest of the world put together due to population growth on the continent. The number of young individuals looking for work is much higher than the number of opportunities that are open to them. The skills of young people entering the workforce and the needs of companies are also out of sync.

Job Details

  • The individuals who will be hired for this position will be given a significant amount of equity given that the company is at ideation stage.
  • The person is fully remote.
  • The company is in its pre-seed with interest from few VCs once an MVP is made and possible grants from NEAR protocol.

Job Description

  • This new, pivotal role of Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) will lead our Sales and Marketing Teams, report to the CEO, and be a valued member of the executive team at Private Label Mastery as we expand revenue in 2023
  • Define and lead forward the company’s strategy and revenue generation opportunities to drive profitable, predictable, stable revenue growth.
  • Spearheading all Private Label Mastery revenue efforts comprised of sales, marketing, brand, and loyalty
  • Build long-term sales and marketing strategies.
  • Be a visionary member of the executive team, identifying new opportunities and providing regular performance updates and reports to the leadership team.
  • Take a hands-on approach in overseeing the day-to-day operations of sales, marketing, and customer service teams, driving, and managing optimization, projections, targets, and team compensation models
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and finance teams to develop a product roadmap assuring market penetration
  • Oversee multiple direct reports and departments including the Sales and Brand managers.
  • Demonstrated experience building sales teams.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Conduct ongoing price and competitor analyses in the marketplace.
  • Proactively support the Sales and Marketing teams to drive results, innovation, profitability, and efficiency within their teams.
  • Align on-the-ground, day-to-day sales and marketing activities with top-level growth strategies.

Requirements
The pro we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 7+ years experience in high-level business development in the digital marketing field
  • Proven track record of initiating and driving revenue growth, growing a digital marketing company.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior leadership sales role.
  • High-velocity sales and marketer.
  • Experience leading in a startup environment.
  • Experience with digital coaching, funnels, and course products.
  • Demonstrated leadership in the field of sales and revenue generation in the digital marketing space.
  • You can connect with, influence, and lead established decision-makers.
  • Advanced skills in talent acquisition and retention strategy including recruiting high-performing team members, building team structure, and assessing future organizational skills for career success.
  • Ability to create a roadmap for the next 5 years, including defining annual revenue and expansion goals, custom success measures, and aligning the product roadmap to topline growth plans.
  • Data-driven decision maker with strong analytical reasoning power and the ability to A/B test and iterate to process success.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, demanding, rapid-growth environment.
