Job Title: Hospitality Business / Market Analyst

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • We need a skilled and experienced candidate to fill the position of Business & Market Analyst. In this position, you will be required to leverage your research and analytical skills to gain market insight and consumer trends relevant to the industry in order to proffer solutions to complex problems.

Responsibilities

  • Constant communication with higher management
  • Excellent communication skills especially in public-dealings
  • On-time and precise financial reporting along with the preparation of analytical reports
  • Forecast budgets, prepare variance reports
  • Assist management team in budget planning
  • Review and submission of weekly, and monthly sector-specific reports that analyze industry variances
  • Assist in the pro forma creation for new hotels and management contract opportunities
  • Ad hoc reporting as per need and as per request
  • Facilitation in business requirements analysis and designs
  • Effective communication and documentations
  • Working with cross-functional team analysts, project managers and owners Creation of user story documentation and acceptance criteria evaluation Understand process mapping, user journey, as-in and to-be entity diagrams Determine creative solutions
  • Collaborate and work with external and internal vendors for obtaining additional insights, approaches and demonstrations of PMS Solutions. Documentation of functional, integration and testing requirements as well as SLAs and operating-level agreements
  • Determining, identify and analyze alternative solutions to complex hotel requirements along with the provision of guidance to the teams
  • Top-notch analytical skills to analyze and conceptualize solutions forcomplex problems.
  • Conduct process re-engineering, strong process management, negotiations, influencing and problem-solving.
  • Train mentors and other team members as per requirement
  • Partnering with corporate and regional teams
  • Participate in conferences, meetings, group calls with the business partners to make sure precise forecasting
  • Develop innovative analysis on all the aspects of retail and rental sector trends and also competitor trends
  • Participate in business review meetings
  • Conduct in-depth analysis about return on investment
  • Organize the data, highlight issues, and propose solutions
  • Collaboration with operations, marketing, and finance for the development of all sales performance
  • Present financial modeling in the most simplified form to higher leadership.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Business Analytics, Hospitality Business Management or any relevant Degree course.
  • Experience with the hospitality sector, hospitality IT or Hotel property Management Software Products
  • At least 2 years of initial experience in a similar role
  • Preferred experience in Hotel or hospitality sector
  • Ability to read and interpret cost-benefit analysis, loss statements and balance sheets
  • Proficiency in modeling and database skills
  • Professional experience in MS packages such as VLOOKUP, Index & Match formulas, pivot tables, macros, and conditional formatting
  • Passionate, brave and ambitious to take on challenges head-on.
  • Demonstrate high levels of history in intellectual curiosity
  • Advanced skills in MS Office Excel
  • Excellent quantitative, qualitative and presentation skills
