Job Description & Summary

  • You’ll focus on managing the design and implementation of technology infrastructure within PwC, developing and enhancing both client and internal facing applications within PwC, and providing technology tools that help create a competitive advantage for the Firm to drive strategic business growth.
  • Our Business Analysis - Practice Support team oversees Information Technology project lifecycles to help align our Information Technology solutions with our business needs by identifying and addressing gaps.
  • As a part of the team, you’ll help optimise opportunity cost, document the right requirements to create solutions that meet user needs, improve efficiency by reducing rework, and shortening project timelines.

  • As a Senior Associate Business Analyst, you will work as part of a vibrant team of solution providers to develop innovative applications that solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.
  • In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to generate transformative ideas, identify and understand business requirements, provide solutions, and support the implementation of agile projects that meet both current and future needs of the clients.

Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Lead project walkthroughs: business requirements gathering, design walkthrough, functional test plans and implementation sessions.
  • Collaborate closely with developers to implement the requirements, provide necessary guidance to testers during the QA process.
  • Provide project level analysis – producing required project analysis documentation (business/ product requirements, scope matrix, use cases, sequence diagrams, future state proposals, UAT plan).
  • Review and update periodic project progress reports.  
  • Provide leadership to team members and peers by collaborating with others; articulating ideas and viewpoints to stakeholders
  • Stakeholder Management: Manage written communications between stakeholders and internal business units.  
  • Manage and maintain content management and control processes and tools.
  • Meet with the project team regularly to review project deliverables and deadlines.
  • Performing granular and detailed business analysis, mitigating potential risks, and identifying appropriate opportunities and solutions
  • Experienced in building conceptual, logical and physical data models to meet complex regulatory and/ or business requirements
  • Proficient in industry standard techniques for data modeling
  • Experience in translating business requirements into User Stories and backlog creation – must be hybrid as the role is expected to gather requirements and support software development cycle
  • Working closely with a technical build team to communicate functional requirements and ensure good technical understanding so build activities can commence

Requirements and Preferences

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline. However, knowledge in Information Technology, Computer Systems Analysis & Management Information Systems is highly desirable.
  • 4 - 5 year(s) of progressive roles managing IT system/software development and project management processes
  • IIBA or PMI-BA certification is desirable.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, potentially across multiple assignments
  • Commitment to personal development in relevant skills
  • Strong written, oral and presentation skills
  • Strong workshop/ meeting facilitation skills
  • Solution design, including the presentation and articulation of this to the client
  • Strong background using workflow tooling – e.g. Visio
  • Exposure to project planning and tracking progress to plan, while identifying and escalating emerging risks
  • Exposure to & knowledge of process engineering.
