Job Title: Dispatch Rider (IT Product)
Location: Lagos
Duties and Responsibilities
- Organizes item orders by editing for price, promotions, weight compliance.
- Arranges shipments by checking stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating delivery requirements; placing and expediting orders.
- Ships items by examining items, destination, route, rate, delivery time; ordering carriers.
- Verifies items shipped by matching bills of lading; reconciling quantities; noting discrepancies.
- Maintaining strong relationship with old customers and new prospect.
- Keeps customers informed by forwarding notice of item availability, shipment date and method, and current status.
- Protects organization reputation by keeping pricing, promotion, purchase order, and credit-limit information confidential.
- Exploring opportunities to add value to the company's services.
- Responsible for organizing the daily dispatch of equipment for the branch, working in compliance with all legal and safety requirements regarding the safe transport of equipment.
Desired Qualities
Education, Experience and Required Skills:
- Minimum of OND/HND in a related discipline.
- Valid driver's licence.
- At least 2 years experience.
- Previous dispatch experience in a retail store technology industry.
- Positive attitude.
- Excellent verbal communication.
- Professional appearance.
- Demonstrate the ability to follow operational procedures.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to function well as part of a team.
- Diligent attention to safety.
- Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier rules and regulations.
