Job Title: Collateral Valuation Officer

Location: Yaba, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Overview

  • The Collateral Valuation Officer shall use an internally approved standard valuation template or tools to value the collateral items with a value above NGN 50m and report the result to the Risk department.

Responsibilities

  • Determining the value of all descriptions of landed property and estimating the economic worth of the Landed Property
  • Feasibility and viability studies of all mortgage properties for credit processes
  • Generate and support new business opportunities for the Bank.
  • Cooperate in the development of the Housing facility for the staff and client
  • Assist in selling all mortgaged properties due to forfeiture of delinquent clients by revalidating the market and forced sales value.
  • Work with the branches and recovery in any matter relating to confiscation and sales of collateral.
  • Conduct a loan underwriting process, as the case may be.
  • Perform any other similar job as assigned by the CRO.

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of Real Estate Management.
  • Ability to use AutoCAD and HSE tools
  • Good communication, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage stress management.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to prepare reports (MS word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Thorough and consistent in discharging duties on sites always.
  • Exercises sound decision-making when carrying out responsibilities.
  • Practical, flexible, and innovative approach to work.
  • Team working skills.
  • Must possess good IT skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum in BSc / HND in Architecture, Estate Management, and Building/Civil Engineering.
  • Experience Level: Entry-level - Mid-level
  • Experience Length:1- 3 years of relevant experience
  • Professional certification in HSE is an added advantage.
