We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Laboratory Assistant

Location: Surulere, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

  • To provide technical laboratory analysis support to the production team.
  • To undertake laboratory analysis as per the schedule in a timely manner.

Key Accountabilities

  • Physical and chemical analysis of products in the laboratory
  • To carry out the daily testing of raw materials and finished products: collection, conditioning, testing, recording, reporting.
  • To be active in WCM projects and offer quality support
  • To report any exceptions to the lab analysis to the Plant Supervisor and Production teams on a daily basis.
  • To manage product audits with internal and external auditors.
  • Random testing of final products
  • Quality control checks of offline and pipe section products
  • Calibration and proper maintenance of instruments as per schedule
  • Assist with plant trial runs, by analysing products as and when required.
  • Assist with the investigation of customer complaints, to ensure proper closure and non-reoccurrence of findings.
  • Assist the process engineer with any additional analysis and tests, to help in process trouble shooting
  • Do SHEQ audits on regular intervals.
  • All such duties and/or activities assigned by management/board as and when required.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification (Diploma or Degree) in Chemistry.

Specific Work Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a continuous process environment (manufacturing)
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Attention to detail and good problem solving skills
  • Computer literate
  • Experience of working in the lab
  • Good communication skills.

Salary
N250,000 - N300,000 Monthly.
