The Federal Polytechnic, Damaturu was established in May, 1993 by virtue of the Federal Polytechnics Decree No. 2 of 1993, with all its ND and HND Programmes Accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). The staff and student's population stand at 753 and 2,418 respectively. Administration is conducted based on the Polytechnic Act. The Polytechnic has the vision to be a technological Institution that produces highly-trained middle-level technical manpower with entrepreneurial skills for self-reliance and a mission to impart skills for self-reliance and technological development.
