How Can You Make a Difference?

  • Under direct supervision of the Resource Mobilization Specialist, the incumbent will be responsible for donor proposals and donor reports in the Nigeria Country Office.

Summary of Main Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Streamlining of office-wide systems and capacity development around donor proposals and reports in collaboration with the Resource mobilization specialist:
  • Support the roll-out and collective understanding, application, and usage of the SoPs for donor proposals and reporting, highlighting workflows, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Support collective understanding, application, and use of Results-based reporting in close coordination with the PMR colleagues.
  • Orient NCO on Donor Reporting platforms, including Fiori and INSIGHT.
  • Support development and finalization of donor proposals and reports by:
  • Editing and providing quality assurance on fundraising proposals in line with the overall
  • Resource Mobilization Strategy, including compiling information, editing and layout when necessary, and adherence to set standards and templates.
  • Compiling, editing, and providing quality assurance on donor reports in line with donor conditions and original proposals, including liaison with the budget team to ensure accurate financial reporting and linkages to narratives; This also includes UNICEF reports such as annual thematic reports as well as donor- reporting; Also, pre-population templates for different programme areas.
  • Liaise with the communication team to ensure the inclusion of human interest and visibility materials in donor proposals and reports.
  • Monitor and track donor proposal pipeline and ensure timely quality assurance of donor proposal in close collaboration with programme sections and Resource Mobilization team
  • Monitor and track donor reporting schedule and ensure timely coordination, quality assurance, and submissions of donor reports in Fiori;
  • Provide timely guidance to programme sections on upcoming donor reports, including setting realistic internal deadlines, identifying the correct reBai Ajokuporting template, elaborating on donor conditionalities, and addressing any challenges faced or questions by programme section.

Requirments
To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have:

  •  A University Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Communications, Marketing, or a related technical field is required.
  •  A minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional work experience is required.
  •  Experience working in the UN or other international development organization and fieldwork experience is an asset. Practical experience   in donor proposal.
  •  Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local   language is an asset.
