Job Title: Facility Manager

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Objective / Purpose of Job

  • We require the services of an experienced Facility Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operations of all our facilities. This includes managing building systems, equipment, and staff to ensure a safe, comfortable, and efficient working environment.
  • The Facility Manager will also be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures to maintain the physical infrastructure of the company and ensure compliance with relevant regulations..

Job Duties / Responsibilities / Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive facilities management plan to ensure efficient and effective operations of all facilities.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the facilities, including building maintenance, security, cleaning, and landscaping.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of all employees, guests, and visitors.
  • Oversee the maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lighting, to ensure that they are functioning properly.
  • Manage the procurement of equipment and supplies for the facilities, ensuring that they are of high quality and cost-effective.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure timely and efficient delivery of services.
  • Manage a team of facility staff, providing leadership and guidance to ensure a high level of performance.
  • Develop and monitor the facility budget to ensure that expenses are in line with company goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including health and safety, environmental, and building codes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in facilities management, including supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems and equipment, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, andlighting.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of all employees, guests, and visitors.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of facility staff.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multipleprojects simultaneously.
  • Experience with budget development and management.
  • Ability to analyse complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facility management software.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to data.
