KFD Consulting - Our client, a 3 star hotel based on the Island part of Lagos State, offering the best hospiataity services to guests from far and near, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: General Manager

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Duties
General Administration Activities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel.
  • Hold regular briefings and meetings with all head of units.
  • Ensure full compliance to Hotel operating controls, SOP’s, policies, procedures and service standards.
  • Handle complaints, and oversee the service recovery procedures.
  • Responsible for the preparation, presentation and subsequent achievement of the hotel's annual Operating Budget, Marketing & Sales Plan and Capital Budget.
  • Manage on-going profitability of the hotel, ensuring revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded.
  • Ensure all decisions are made in the best interest of the hotels and management.
  • Deliver hotel budget goals and set other short and long term strategic goals for the Villas.
  • Leads on-property sales functions to build long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of hotel sales objectives
  • Representation of a positive organizational image to the public, clients and community, creating a focus on attracting business.
  • Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence)
  • Evaluates and drives the hotel’s participation in the various sales channels, Market Sales, Event Booking Centers, electronic lead channels, etc.
  • Provides positive and aggressive leadership to ensure maximum revenue potential (e.g., sets example with personal booking goals).

Requirements

  • A University Degree in Hotel Management or a related field with Experience in opening, managing or re-positioning a hotel with clear track record. Excellent computer system skills.
  • At least 15 to 20 years experience in the hospitality industry, with significant luxury and international experience, ideally including experience in remote locations. And 5 to 10 years of experience as a General Manager or Asst. General Manager.
  • Strong leardership, supevisory and people management skills
