Job Title: HR Manager

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Details

• We are looking for a highly experienced HR Manager to join our secondary school team. As HR Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of human resources within the school, including recruitment, training and development, employee relations, and compliance with employment legislation.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures that comply with relevant employment legislation and best practice.
• Managing the recruitment process, including advertising vacancies, shortlisting candidates, conducting interviews, and onboarding.
• Providing advice and guidance to senior leaders and line managers on employment law and HR policies.
• Developing and delivering training and development programs to support the professional development of staff.
• Managing employee relations, including handling disciplinary and grievance procedures and managing absence and performance management.
• Maintaining accurate HR records and reporting on HR metrics to senior leaders.

Requirements

• At least five (5) years of experience working in HR, preferably within a school environment.
• A Degree in HR or a related field.
• Experience of managing all functions of the HR Department including recruitment, Performance Management, Learning & Development, employee relations, Compensation and benefits, employment policy compliance.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience of managing HR records and producing HR metrics reports.
