Job Title: Web Designer - UX / UI
Location: Abuja (Remote)
Contract Type: Freelance
Total Project Hours: 7-10 (on average, depending on the complexity of the project and individual's performance)
Description
What you’re applying for:
- Join our KCG Talent Community as a Web Designer (UX/UI focus) and help design visually stunning websites that deliver a seamless user experience. In this role, you will collaborate with the Senior UX Designer to ensure that designs meet user needs, business objectives, and brand standards.
Timeline:
- Projects usually range between two to four weeks and will have specific deadlines and timelines that must be met.
- Successful candidates will be expected to work closely with the project team to ensure timely completion of each project.
Responsibilities
In this role you'll:
- Design user-friendly websites with a focus on usability and aesthetics.
- Collaborate with the Senior UX Designer and other stakeholders to gather requirements, user feedback, and business objectives.
- Create moodboards, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate design concepts and solutions.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and iterate on designs.
- Develop and maintain design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across all digital touchpoints.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in web design, UX, and UI.
Requirements
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in web design and UX/UI design.
- Strong design skills, with a focus on user-centered design and usability.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to design solutions that balance user needs and business objectives.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
