Job Description

  • We are in search of a Beauty Editor who will be responsible for developing and overseeing content for our beauty publication and website, with a particular focus on the African market.
  • The ideal candidate should have a passion for beauty, knowledge of the African beauty industry and trends, and the ability to create engaging, informative, and compelling content for our audience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee content for the beauty publication and website, with a particular focus on the African market.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the African beauty industry, and incorporate this knowledge into content development.
  • Pitch and develop original beauty content ideas that will resonate with the African market, including features, reviews, tutorials, and interviews.
  • Assign, edit, and publish high-quality beauty content from freelance writers and contributors.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute content marketing strategies, including social media campaigns, email newsletters, and sponsored content.
  • Attend beauty events, trade shows, and launches to gather information and network with industry professionals.
  • Manage the beauty section of the publication and website, including the editorial calendar, budget, and deadlines.
  • Monitor and analyze the website and social media analytics to track content performance and adjust strategies accordingly

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in beauty writing and editing, with a focus on the African market.
  • Passion for beauty and knowledge of the African beauty industry and trends.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with experience in digital media.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of SEO, social media, and content marketing.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of email marketing tools

Salary
N70,000 / Month.
