We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Laboratory Assistant (Industrial)
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Accountabilities
- Physical and chemical analysis of products in the laboratory
- To carry out the daily testing of raw materials and finished products: collection, conditioning, testing, recording, reporting.
- To be active in WCM projects and offer quality support
- To report any exceptions to the lab analysis to the Plant Supervisor and Production teams on a daily basis.
- To manage product audits with internal and external auditors.
- Random testing of final products
- Quality control checks of offline and pipe section products
- Calibration and proper maintenance of instruments as per schedule
- Assist with plant trial runs, by analysing products as and when required.
- Assist with the investigation of customer complaints, to ensure proper closure and non-reoccurrence of findings.
- Assist the process engineer with any additional analysis and tests, to help in process trouble shooting
- Do SHEQ audits on regular intervals.
- All such duties and/or activities assigned by management/board as and when required.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification (Diploma or Degree) in Chemistry or Biochemistry.
Specific Work Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- At least 2 years experience in a continuous process environment (manufacturing)
- Ability to work under pressure
- Attention to detail and good problem solving skills
- Computer literate
- Experience of working in the lab
- Good communication skills
