Job Overview

• We are looking for an efficient Technical Lead to be a part of our team.
• As a good tech lead, you will be responsible for smooth functioning of all technical operations.
• You will manage the tech team to ensure efficient day to day running of the various teams. There are four divisions within the Technical dept.
• The tech lead role also requires you to analyze ongoing projects and write progress reports on the same.
• Furthermore, you will be responsible for leading the team members and overseeing their performance.
• You will also ensure that all your Team members have the adequate skillset to conduct their roles.
• Where there is a deficiency, in conjunction with the Training manger, you will ensure that they skill up to the desired level.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing daily technical operations
• Assisting in training new employees and reviewing the high performing team
• Coordinating with various divisions in addressing technical debt
• Analyzing project briefs, requirements and deliverables
• Preparing and presenting progress reports
• Developing and assigning work schedules/tasks
• Liaising with the engineering team for project completion
• Reviewing ongoing operations and rectifying any issues
• Scheduling training sessions for new employees and the technical staff
• Notifying any technical problems to the engineer responsible
• Communicating with the clients to ascertain their needs
• Checking and updating systems and software on a regular basis
• Conducting periodic security checks/audits
• Using good quality code to avoid monetary damage
• Understanding project requirements and developing detailed structure
• Implementing best practices and coding standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or any related field
• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer,software developeror similar role
• A certification in Project Management Professional is desirable
• Excellent technical expertise
• Strong analytical and debugging skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure
• Good leadership skills
• Knowledge of latest technologies and industry trends
• Excellent knowledge of programming languages like PHP, Java and Python
• Ability to make rational decisions
• Highly motivated and willing to learn new technologies
• Good organizational skills
• Knowledge of code versioning tools and databases
• Awareness about the best industry practices
• Highly accurate and logical.

Salary
N400,000 - N600,000 Monthly.
