We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Facility Associate (REACH)

Location: Abuja
Department: REACH
Reports to: Program Manager

Job Description

  • The Facility Associate performs, plans, directs, coordinates, and controls all facility maintenance to ensure proper safety, sanitation, and mechanical functions for the facility including; grounds and equipment.
  • The Facility Associate is responsible for the overall facility coordination, managing all building and equipment maintenance.

The Facility Associate will support REACH Program department predominantly to:

  • Ensure day-to-day facility operations run smoothly
  • Maintain physical space, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment.
  • Conducts routine inspection of all plumbing facilities, electrical equipment, and water supply.
  • Act as liaison between employees and any outside contractors needed to resolve specialized problems.
  • Draft and implement preventive maintenance schedules for buildings and equipment.
  • Ensure safety standards are followed throughout the facility.
  • Participate in the emergency preparedness planning team, if needed.
  • Manage a variety of vendors and services.
  • Maintain the inventory of supplies; reorders as needed.
  • Send monthly invoices for all services offered and ensure all payments are made. 
  • Send monthly reports on facility management and performance.
  • Manage all stewards available on-site.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Professional Development:
The REACH Program requires all staff to keep their knowledge and skills up to date.

  • S/he is expected to continue to learn throughout their career at EHA Clinics through continuing professional development (CPD). The professional body relating to specialist areas will have information on the type of CPD to be carried out and how much should be completed each year. 

Key Areas of Note:

  • Ensure continuing education, training and development is undertaken to meet clinical governance guidelines for Continuing Professional Development and a Personal Development Plan. 
  • Keep up to date with relevant medical research, technology, and evidence-based medical practice by attending continuing education courses and professional meetings, reading journals, etc.
  • Perform a variety of research and analysis tasks associated with the improvement of clinical care, medical diagnosis, and treatment where appropriate.

Requirements
The requirements listed below are the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform this job: 

  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or any related field
  • At least 1-year post-NYSC-related experience.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite
  • Knowledge of project and task management tools such as Asana.
  • Certification in Facility Management and Project Management is preferred 
  • Completion of compulsory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) or exemption.
