Job Title: Security and Political Risk Analyst

Job Description

• Analyze security threats, assessing political stability, evaluating geopolitical risks, and monitoring current events in the news and media sources.
• Provide recommendations to the organization's management on how to mitigate risks and minimize the impact of potential threats.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of their research, analysis, and recommendations.
• Work closely with the organization's management to develop risk management strategies that are effective in mitigating identified risks.
• Communicate with various stakeholders and attending conferences and seminars to stay current with the latest security and political developments that may impact the environment.

Requirements / Skills

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree / Master's Degree qualification with 5 - 12 years work experience.
• Analytical – can logically relate and compare data from different sources, quickly identify issues, secure relevant information, and draw conclusions.
• Research – must be able to objectively research from various sources and identify pertinent information.
• Has the ability to observe both the macro and micro perspectives of a situation.
• Excellent written communication skills
• Excellent verbal communication skills – can convey information verbally to management and stakeholders.
• IT – is computer literate and has a good working knowledge of the internet.
• Flexible – maintains effectiveness in a fast moving and/or changing environment and with varying tasks, responsibilities, or people.
• Stable under pressure – can adapt to change and work to deadlines.
• Ability to work with colleagues - Team worker.
• Able to adapt to the companies needs in the way we deliver our service.
• Reliable and takes pride in the quality of their work.
• Excellent attention to detail.
