Job Title: Accountant

Location: Garki, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced accountant to join our real estate company's finance team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and providing financial reports to management.
• The accountant will ensure that the company's financial practices comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for the company's real estate transactions, including leases, rentals, and property sales
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable for real estate transactions
• Analyze financial statements to identify discrepancies and provide recommendations for improvement
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts for real estate operations
• Generate financial reports for management and stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other applicable accounting standards for real estate transactions
• Assist with financial audits related to real estate operations as needed
• Provide financial advice and guidance related to real estate transactions to management

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in a real estate company
• Experience with financial reporting, analysis, and audit preparation for real estate transactions

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices for real estate transactions
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
• Detail-oriented and able to maintain accuracy in financial records

Other Requirements:

• Must have a professional appearance and demeanor
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Must have a strong work ethic and attention to detail
• CPA certification is a plus.

Remuneration

• Salary: N80,000 - N100,000 monthly.
• Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications
