At ARDA-DCI, we use storytelling, entertainment-education approaches and research to design efficacious materials for dissemination on traditional and new media platforms. We produce radio and video programs, viral video skits, podcasts, print materials, mobile applications, and live stage performances that effectively communicate sustainable development messages to audiences and key beneficiaries in a way that is relevant, acceptable and accessible.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full Time

Job Description

  • Build the capacity of the subordinates in the field of M & E and relevant tasks.
  • Organize M & E activities and direct the field officers for conducting M & E visits to target communities.
  • Supervise Field officers and share field findings and recommendations with the relevant department through monitoring reports.
  • Ensure to collect and verify necessary data of targeted areas at the beginning and the end of every month.
  • Prepare annual, quarterly, and monthly monitoring plans.
  • Support field teams to prepare case studies on successes and lessons learned.
  • Conduct interviews, when necessary, with community elders/influencers and record their feedback and share their feedback with senior management.
  • Ensure that all the captured data is stored and well-documented for periodic reporting.
  • Perform any other duties as identified by the Program Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics related fields or an area of Social Science or its equivalent.
  • 3 to 5 years experience of working in M&E with experience in developing M&E plans, quantitative and qualitative data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Good experience in monitoring and evaluation of community-based interventions is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Spreadsheets, and other Statistical software. 
  • Demonstrated skills in data management and quantitative data analysis
  • Excellent communication skills in written and oral communication
  • The candidate must display the ability to effectively prioritize and perform tasks to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to draw up Monitoring and Evaluation plans for intervention proposals/concept notes.
