Job Title: Mid-Level Financial Accountant
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Summary
- They seek to hire a Financial Accountant who shall be responsible for running the accounting and financial activities of an organization.
Job Description
- Gather and monitor financial data (e.g. sales revenues and liabilities).
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements).
- Forecast costs and revenues.
- Manage tax payments.
- Organize internal audits.
- Prepare budgets (for the entire company and by department).
- Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies.
- Conduct detailed risk analyses to assess potential investments
- Analyze financial trends.
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes.
Qualifications
- A Degree in Accounting / Finance and MBA is preferable.
- Preferred Industry background – Retail/FMCG/Oil & Gas
- Experience - A minimum of 5 Years
- Qualification - ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
Skill Set:
- IFRS application, Reconciliations
- Considerable exposure to ERPs
- Transactions Review & Routine Financial Reporting
- Fixed assets management
- Cash flow reporting
- Banking relations
- Management of monthly book close in line with committed timelines
- Periodic control reviews
- Revaluation of foreign currency-denominated balances
- Oversight on transactions management (AP, AR, GL, treasury)
- Operations and commercial literacy.
- Detail and process-oriented.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and follow-up skills
