Overview
- We are looking for a result-driven and trustworthy Accountant who would work efficiently without sacrificing accuracy to join our team.
- In this role, you would work with large amounts of numerical data, handle multiple tasks with deadlines, and provide transparent and complete reports to management.
Responsibilities
- Reconciling bank statements with general ledger entries
- Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial data.
- Creating periodic reports, such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, etc.
- Presenting financial data to managers, investors, and other entities.
- Maintaining accurate financial and stock records
- Overseeing incoming payments from customers and outgoing payments from accounts payable
- Computing taxes, and filling VAT promptly
- Keeping informed about current legislation relating to finance and accounting.
- Assisting management in the decision-making process by preparing budgets and financial forecasts
Qualifications
- Combination of advanced education, relevant certification and related experiences
- B.Sc / HND - Accounting
- 3-5 years experience in similar position
- Must have solid understanding and adherence to the Servant Leadership philosophy.
- skilled at prioritizing and motivated by accomplishment.
- Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment.
- Ability to interact well with others in a team environment.
- Strong planning, problem-solving, and analytic skills.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Advanced computer knowledge (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.)
Core Competencies:
- Firm grasp of accounting and financial practices and regulations
- Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills.
- Proficiency in accounting softwares
- Good understanding of mathematics, economics and financial processes.
