We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Nanny

Location: Apo Resettlement, Abuja (FCT)
Reporting to: Human Resource Administrator

Job Brief

  • The Nanny is responsible for taking care of children and ensuring that they are safe, eat as at when due and play in an healthy environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring clean and tidy home environment all times.
  • Bottle-feeding infants and changing diapers when required.
  • Entertaining infants, keeping them warm, happy and clean at all times, and playing with them.
  • Responsible for giving children lunch and in-between snacks,and supervising them during play.
  • Responsible for the supervision of children and ensure their safety during school hours.
  • Responsible for keeping a watchful eye on the children and be attentive to their needs.
  • Responsible for ensuring that children maintain good health and hygiene practices. They may help children wash their hands, take care of their personal hygiene, or administer medication as required
  • Running errands as required.

Key Performance Indicator
The Key Performance Indicators for a nanny include:

  • Attendance and punctuality: This KPI measures the nanny's ability to consistently show up to work on time and fulfill their responsibilities.
  • Child safety: This KPI measures the nanny's ability to create a safe environment for the children under their care, including following proper safety protocols, monitoring the children closely, and responding appropriately to emergencies.
  • Communication: This KPI measures the nanny's ability to communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other staff members. This includes providing regular updates on the children's progress, addressing any concerns or issues, and working collaboratively with others to ensure the best possible outcomes for the children.
  • Child development: This KPI measures the nanny's ability to facilitate the intellectual, social, and emotional growth of the children under their care. This includes planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, encouraging the children to explore new interests and skills, and providing a supportive and nurturing environment for their learning and development.
  • Feedback and reviews: This KPI measures the feedback and reviews the nanny receives from parents, teachers, and other staff members. This provides insight into how well the nanny is meeting the needs of the children and their families, as well as how they are perceived by others in the school community.

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of SSCE or suitable equivalent.
  • 3+ years child care experience, including infant care.
  • Proficient knowledge of home safety and first aid.
  • Proficient knowledge of housekeeping and meal preparation.
  • Outstanding verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Affinity for children and pets.
  • Good moral character and pleasant disposition.
  • Physically fit, energetic, agile, and dexterous.
