Job Description
- A Reservations Sales Agent will serve as the main contact for room reservations at the hotel; and therefore, must offer an excellent service and influence the Guest decision to stay at the property.
What will I be doing?
- As a Reservations Sales Agent, you will serve as the first line of inquiry for room reservations within the hotel.
- A Reservation Sales Agent is responsible for offering excellent customer service, options, and other solutions to meet Guest and customer needs.
Specifically, a Reservations Sales Agent will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Answer all reservations telephone calls and e-mails in a friendly manner.
- Respond to guest inquiries and process their requests.
- Promptly provides accurate information regarding availability of accommodations and other requested information.
- Assists other departments such as Sales, Meetings and Conventions and Front Office with reservation.
- Process all group contracts from the Sales Department.
- Enter all group blocks into reservations computer system and verifies correctness of data entered against the data received.
- Follows up with Sales Department regarding all questions that stem from the groups.
- Assist the local Reservations Desk at HRW with questions, problems or concerns that arise concerning reservations made at the hotel.
- Maintain suite reservation request process and inventory controls for all suites and other room accommodations.
- Process reservation requests from team members at other hotels in the Hilton family.
- Process and monitor Passports issued to our team members for the Team Member Travel Program.
Requirements
A Reservations Sales Agent serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
- Candidates should possess a minimum of HND
- Possess strong organizational skills
- Good understanding of financial operating systems and procedures
- Strong inter-personal and communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Previous experience in Accounts, Front Office, or similar role in hotel will be an added advantage.
- Experience with the PeopleSoft/ Opera systems
