Primarily set up, as a consulting Civil Engineering firm, the company served both the private and public sectors for a decade, before entering into the Oil and Gas industry in the turn of the decade (1990).

Amercron's services encompass consultancy - various Engineering and project design services through to supply and Installation with ongoing technical support, manpower supply, construction/Project Management and multidisplinary design, and procurement services. These are catergorized into four groups: Engineering Construction/Fabrication; Project Management; Procurement Services and Human Resources Management.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Maintenance / Spare Management Analyst

Location: Rivers
Job Dimensions / Scope: Operations and Maintenance Spares

Job Purpose

  • To carry out the day-to-day operations, Materials Management in Gas Distribution facilities (Customer stations, Pressure Reducing and Metering Stations including Pipeline transmission and distribution systems), so as to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable distribution of gas to customers.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Demonstrate excellent HSSE behaviours for HSSE-MS compliant and ISO 14001:2015 compliance.
  • Operate and maintain gas facilities to supply on-specification gas to customers
  • Carry out routine First Line Maintenance of gas distribution facilities.
  • Periodic reviews (annual) of critical spares and other items
  • Communicating projected/planned requirements to CP on time
  • Providing timely information and steers on asset disposals and obsolete equipment.
  • Maintaining the appropriate parameters of inventory items (MRP)
  • Ensuring appropriate availability levels of all stock materials (MRP)
  • Driving the periodic review of the inventory (MRP)
  • Coordinating the write-off of relevant items (MRP)
  • Ensuring acceptable stock accuracy (Stock audit)
  • Timely processing of Stock Transfer Orders
  • Timely processing of Goods Issue
  • Preservation of stock items.
  • Ensure that all activities (contractors inclusive) are carried out in line with the safe systems of work including Permit To Work (PTW), Life Saving Rules, etc.
  • Participate in and supervise routine data download from gas distribution stations located in customer premises
  • Carry out hazard identification in gas facilities and rectify identified gaps / shortfalls promptly / timely
  • Implement site emergency response plan and procedures. Carry out emergency response activities when required
  • Drive cost minimization in daily operations and maintenance activities
  • Comply with all procedures and processes including Covid-19 combination of control protocols
  • Drive improvement projects as assigned and required

Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Candidates should possess a minimum of an OND in any Engineering discipline
  • Must have 5 years and above as Maintenance Technician and Spares Management.
  • IT Tools / Systems: Proficient in Computerized Maintenance Mgt System (SAP), MS-Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Team Leadership: Competitive
  • Teamwork: Competitive
  • Communication Skills: Good writing skills in technical details (English language)
  • Added Advantage: Experience in facilities Operations, Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I), Pipeline and Project works of gas facilities.
