Librarian at Edwin Clark University (ECU)

Edwin Clark University, ECU, the 60th private university and one of the fastest growing Universities in the country, located in the serene town of Kiagbodo, Delta State, commenced academic activities in the year 2015. The University is easily accessible by road and by air through the Benin, Asaba, Warri, Yenagoa and Port Harcourt Airports. ECU has within her few years' existence achieved a number of academic feats. Her programmes include First Degree, Second Degree and Post- Graduate courses, up to Ph.D. The university is fully residential, with all her students residing in modest hostels.

Job Description

• The Librarian shall be the academic and administrative head of the University's Library.
• The Librarian shall be responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the development of the University library system.
• The Librarian shall be responsible for the provision of bibliographic services to the academic community in the University
• The Librarian shall provide academic services by way of effective teaching and research in library science towards library manpower production.
• Interested candidates are expected to demonstrate intellectual and excellent conduct in discipline, integrity and sound judgment.

Requirements

• The Librarian shall be a University graduate with relevant higher Degrees in Library Studies and with a minimum of fifteen (15) years experience.
• The Librarian must be computer literate.
