Job Title: Recovery Officer
Location: Lagos
Reporting To: Head of Lending
About You
- We are looking for an experienced Debt Recovery Officer to join our versatile Lending Operations Department and help to reduce the current PAR to 5%.
- You will be saddled with the responsibility of doing immediate follow up on delinquent loans and existing overdue loans as well as collaborating with other departments to contribute to the overall success of the company.
- This role reports directly into the Head Of Lending and there is opportunity for significant growth into the various roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep tracking outstanding debts
- Plan course of action to recover owed money
- Locate and contact debtors
- Handle Members' questions or complaints
- Negotiate payoff deadlines and payment plans
- Meet monthly debt recovery targets
- Identify gaps in the system and recommend solutions
Requirements
- Must have 3 to 4 years of experience as a Recovery Officer
- Knowledge of relevant legal requirements
- Good knowledge databases
- Good negotiation and persuasion skills
- Experience in working with targets and tight deadlines
- Team player
- Strong time-management skills
