Job Description

  • We are looking for a result-driven BDO responsible for generating businesses in the retail /SME market space and increase Sales & Volume. He/She will be responsible for providing leads, converting potential borrowers to existing/satisfied customers.
  • As a Business Development Officer with the Company, you will be responsible for providing a full range of financial services available through this institution to existing high net-worth clientele and generating new business by making outside, in-person calls on prospects and clients.
  • Our candidate must have a track record of exceeding Management expectation, display excellent interpersonal and effective selling skills to build quality relationships with the Business team and with customers, be goal-driven and good credit writing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Generates new business through prospecting, outside calling, networking and referrals.
  • Act as a self-starter while leveraging cross-functional collaboration with business partners.
  • Develops business relationships in the community, directly and through referral base and execute sales strategies, marketing plans, and business development programs.
  • Maintains an awareness of marketplace products, practices, rates, and changes to advantage of competitive opportunities.
  • Handles a high volume of phone calls with professionalism and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Maintains working knowledge of commercial and personal lending, deposits, and investments.
  • Works with marketing, sales, and product development teams to implement business development initiatives.
  • Interacts in an effective and professional manner with all levels of Company’s personnel, corporate and individual clients demonstrating commitment to quality client service.
  • Represents the Company by actively participating in outside community events, business and industry-related organizations, and other professional activities as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Minimum of B.Sc / HND.in any Field of study
  • 3 - 5 years’ Working experience in a Commercial Bank/Financial Service Company/Microfinance Bank
  • Excellent communication, good Credit writing, Presentation and key selling skills.
  • Strong knowledge of various phases of sales management, including planning, goal setting, project/time management and selling techniques.
  • Excellent business development and client relationship skills.
  • Proven new business development experience
  • Detail orientated with exceptional sales and analytical skills.
  • Proven track record of constantly meeting or exceeding targets and deliverables
  • Service-oriented team player mentality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly motivated and thrive on a team where you can make a big impact.
  • Great listening skills and a problem-solver with a 'can-do' attitude.

Salary
N100,000 - N180,000 / month.
