- A black rose is the ideal candidate. A black rose for this role is a Developer with extensive experience building Wordpress websites and database management systems. They have an incredibly keen eye for design which shows itself in the portfolio of websites they've built.
Role Description
- Install, develop, and customize responsive WordPress themes and plugins
- Assist with testing, debugging, documentation, and overall quality assurance of WordPress sites
- Test website performance
- Research, design, and implement technical specifications for projects based on user requirements as indicated in the scope of work, wireframes, and sitemap documents
Qualifications
Must Haves (Non-negotiables):
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Information Systems, Computer Science, related field
- At least 3+ years of experience with WordPress theme/plugin development & installation
- Extensive experience with CSS3 & Bootstrap
- Advanced knowledge and development experience in PHP, CSS/HTML, JavaScript, jQuery (and/or similar JS libraries), MySQL (or other database management systems)
- Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
- Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
- Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug & Chrome inspector
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools Git, Mercurial, and SVN.
- Advanced troubleshooting and debugging skills
- Experience using Heroku and/or Amazon services
- Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
