We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Supermarket Accountant
Location: Ikota, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Responsibilities
- Balance bank account.
- Audit financial statements and assess accounts for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- File and document internal financial records of the supermarket
- Liaise with vendors and call suppliers for supplies when needed.
- Ensure all payments are reconciled daily. (Stock and payment should tally).
- Carry out stock weekly reconciliation
- Monitor products and process payment
- Supervise the activities of the stock keeper to ensure inventory in the store is accurately accounted for.
- Settle utility bills
- Take part in cash disbursement and reconciliation with the cashiers.
- Drive full compliance with all tax regulations.
- Prepare monthly payroll and implement statutory deductions.
- Prepare monthly profit and lost
- Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies.
- Keep updated records of thecompany’s assets.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree, HND / OND qualification with 1 - 2 years work experience.
