Job Title: Security Engineer - Operations

Main Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse security systems and event logs to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Build alerts and dashboards with multiple different systems (Azure AD, AWS, SonarQube, etc).
• Develop and implement security policies and procedures to mitigate risks and improve security posture.
• Ensure secure configuration of network devices and firewalls.
• Oversee the implementation of security patches and updates.
• Provide guidance and training to staff on security best practices.
• Coordinate and conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify weaknesses in the system.
• Collaborate with other teams to implement and maintain security controls and procedures.
• Respond to security incidents, investigate, and document findings, and develop remediation plans.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation related to security operations.

Requirements
What we are looking for in a candidate:

• Strong knowledge of security concepts, protocols, and technologies including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM, VPNs, endpoint security, and network segmentation.
• Experience in incident response, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and penetration testing.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks and regulations such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, and ISO 27001.
• Experience in scripting or programming languages such as Python, Ruby, or Bash to automate security tasks and enhance efficiency.
• Understanding of cloud security architecture and experience in securing cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and resolve security issues.
• The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of network security protocols, firewall technologies, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and other security technologies.
• Additionally, the candidate must possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
