This position reports to: The Finance Manager

Job Description

• The Finance Officer supports the finance and accounting function in the organization.
• The position holder manages accounting records and receipts, performs financial management activities and assists the Finance Manager in the daily operations of the department.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering financial data and performing analysis.
• Help to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to support business decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulations.
• Work with the finance team to identify areas for process improvement and increased efficiency.
• Assist with the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
• Help to manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial service providers.
• Assist with the implementation of new financial systems and processes.
• Provide support to other departments as needed to ensure smooth financial operations.

Educational Qualifications, Experience, and Attributed Skills

• Candidates should possess minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other Business-related courses
• Minimum of four years’ experience in a related position.
• Must have strong client interaction skills and demonstrate the ability to influence the outcome of an investment process.
• Excellent analytical, numerical and data presentation skills.
