This position reports to: The Finance Manager
Job Description
- The Finance Officer supports the finance and accounting function in the organization.
- The position holder manages accounting records and receipts, performs financial management activities and assists the Finance Manager in the daily operations of the department.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering financial data and performing analysis.
- Help to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to support business decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulations.
- Work with the finance team to identify areas for process improvement and increased efficiency.
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
- Help to manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial service providers.
- Assist with the implementation of new financial systems and processes.
- Provide support to other departments as needed to ensure smooth financial operations.
Educational Qualifications, Experience, and Attributed Skills
- Candidates should possess minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other Business-related courses
- Minimum of four years’ experience in a related position.
- Must have strong client interaction skills and demonstrate the ability to influence the outcome of an investment process.
- Excellent analytical, numerical and data presentation skills.
